I have recently acquired this bluetooth car play adapter and it's a game changer! I love having apple car play in my car (note I have a Genesis GV70 and it works for my sister's Rav4 as well) but it can be a hassle to have to plug in my phone every time. After it is connected, I am able to use the interface smoothly whether it be my apple music or navigation. The picture is stable and clear and I've never noticed a delay in playback, and overall the connection is stable with no disconnection on the road. The instructions are relatively easy with you just plugging the doggle into the port and turning on Bluetooth and Wifi, and this wireless adapter can be used with most phone models and car models as well. I've never used Carplay before, but people at work talk about it pretty frequently, so I gave it a try. I have a 2023 Ford Maverick and I usually just use the on-board system. Overall I'm pretty pleased. Using this will also make it even easier for me when I'm using my wife's car.
I have to say it was pretty easy and seamless to set up. Just plugged it into the USB port, connected through Bluetooth, viewed a few permission screens (I didn't give the app access to sync anything), and after a few seconds it was up and connected. The adapter is very short, so it just stays out of the way. Long term I'll probably 3D print a little holder so it's not hanging by the wire

I love that I no longer need a charging cord to use my Apple CarPlay! I love the clean look it provides - no more messy wires! It works great too - connects to CarPlay automatically when I start my car. Sometimes takes a minute or two, but connects without fail. I haven’t used it on a call yet, but all the other features work as seamlessly as if my phone were plugged in. I also used the double sided sticker that was included to keep the unit out of the way and provide a more seamless look.

I have had a 2018 Kenwood replacement stereo in my 2002 Volvo for 5 years now and have always had trouble keeping a map program going longer than 3 minutes on the screen. In order to get it going again when it stops working, I have to unplug it from my phone and plug it back in to just get another couple of minutes out of it before it goes out again. I finally just started using my phone by itself for a map program. Not easy to see on the small screen if you know what I mean. This CarPlay Dongle solved all my problems. The cord for my phone on the stereo comes from the back of the stereo. I just plugged the dongle into it and leave the cord and dongle hidden in the glove-box. Once set up, (which is easy) the stereo just comes on when the car is turned on and I hit "CarPlay" and from there you can go to any of your Map programs (Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze). You can also go straight to you music or text messages. No cords anymore. Makes my life much simpler and I now have a much larger screen to work with rather than my small phone screen. My two phones I am using are an iPhone 12 mini and an iPhoneX. Love it.

This has to be by far the best wireless CarPlay adapter. I’ve tried a bunch claiming it’s compatibility to load times. This was literally plug and play. I have an aftermarket Sony radio with wired Apple CarPlay. I was about to buy another radio because I wanted the wireless Apple car play but then I saw there was adapters available online. I was about to give up in trying to find one with a decent price and a fast load time. After you have used this adapter I’m guessing it’s adapting to your connection and radio and it loads faster and faster. I literally turn the car on, and and check my jobs for the day and after like 10 seconds it’s connected and ready to go. For the price and the load time it’s completely worth it. It’s so simple. Just make sure your phone’s Bluetooth is on and searching and once it finds the adapter just pair and your good to go. One quirk I noticed is that the display defaults to my car stereo’s main menu page instead of the CarPlay page like my wired CarPlay did. Not a big deal, but just a slight annoyance if anything. Having Wireless CarPlay in my 2020 Jeep GrandCherokee is great given that it wasn't an option at the time given the technology for the model year. This adapter does work however, I highly recommend when it is not in use, just unplug it. Depending on how long you leave you car, it can were down you batter in your car/truck and even your cell phone. I notice that it does impact the battery in my phone. Also one drawback besides the batter. When you have it hooked up, but your listening to Satellite radio or even you normal radio(FM), I would recommend NOT taping on the CarPlay Icon on the screen, first go to your car radio option and click on the USB option the the adapter is hooked into click on it to switch from normal Sat radio or Reg Radio listening to the adapter. The next song available on your phone should turn on. Please note there are times when you are listening to CarPlay and you stop listening for whatever reason and you leave the vehicle, you would think the song would continue where you left off. Unfortunately it doesn't it will skip to the next song. But for the price, it still a cool device and worth the price.

I called my local Lexus dealership to ask if there was a software upgrade to take my 2021 Lexus from wired car play to wireless. Their quote for it was over $1,000 for that upgrade, NOPE!. This works perfectly though. I’ve only had it a few weeks, so I’ll update in a year. It is a little delayed like milliseconds when fast forwarding podcasts but overall it’s ideal.

My only complaint is that occasionally it won't connect, the screen will just be black, but a little unplug and plug back in always does the trick! Other than that, most of the time it connects pretty fast, and I have had no issues with playback with music, testing, calls, etc. Some people complain of the lag time when skipping songs but any blue tooth connected device will have a second or two of lag time so that didn't surprise me and doesn't bother me! For the price, I think this is a really great purchase.

I was skeptical ordering, but in use found it to be quite a neat little device. Setup was a breeze (just make sure to follow the instructions in the booklet it comes with). I was wirelessly playing from my phone in under 1 minute.
It does take a few seconds upon my car starting for it to sync up with my phone, but that’s no different than how long it took for my direct plug as well (in a Volvo XC60).
One thing to keep in mind is that there is a second delay between pressing the skip button on my steering wheel and the phone skipping due to the time to transmit the wireless signal from the device and back. Not surprising though.
I’ll certainly keep using this so I don’t need to always plug my phone in just to play my music! It solved one of my gripes with my car since Volvo never integrated wireless CarPlay with the older sensus models.

Is plugging your phone into the CarPlay port that time-consuming or difficult - no…. But, is it so much better when you don’t have to and your phone just connects automatically - yes!
During setup, it connected quickly and updated just as described in the instructions, but I did have to reset the device a few times and dig thru the audio settings in my car before I got it connected properly. However, since I got it setup it automatically connects to my phone and launches CarPlay once I start the car. It definitely works as described and is a terrific convenience if you use your CarPlay regularly. Personally, I think it’s a fantastic device and would highly recommend it!

I picked this awesome device up after far too long of being annoyed with an iPhone cable dangling out of the console pocket of my car. And all the times I'd just forget to grab my phone when getting out.
The best thing I can say about it is ... it just works. Plug it into your USB port, connect via Bluetooth from your iPhone, select the wireless option that'll show on your car's display and you're done. It was one of those "Wow, that's it?" times.

This is great! My 2020 Honda does not have wireless CarPlay and that’s why I purchased this. It’s very easy to set up and syncs with my car well. The only issue is that sometimes my radio doesn’t come on right away so I have to go to the audio on my computer screen and switch it over. I don’t feel that that is a huge negative and it may just be because of my specific car. I would order this again and recommend it. It works great.

This product works well to convert my carplay into Bluetooth vs having to plug in my phone every time. I have had no issues with swapping between plugged and unplugged or my car not being happy with conflicting Bluetooth. It was easy to set up, I would recommend a parking lot so you can leave your wireless on but not connected to your home wireless. I have been using it for 2 months now with no issues.

Connecting this adapter was SO much easier than Android Auto. It literally took me 2 minutes. Plug the adapter in, connect the phone to it as a Bluetooth device (Simple) and you're on your way. Ok, so setup was easy but connecting afterwards would be a pain right? NO! When I got back into the car an hour later and turned the car on, the wireless CarPlay started quicker than my wired experience. I honestly did a double take to see if I plugged the USB cable into my phone because CarPlay was on the car screen the moment I turned the car on. It's been a few days now and no problems. Can't say enough good things about the ease of use of this adapter! I'll follow up in a month or so, but I don't foresee any issues.

My truck doesn’t have wireless CarPlay and it’s certainly my preferred method so I can just get in the vehicle and go. Plus, my truck has issues with a wired connection for some reason. I thought maybe a wireless adapter would help with those two needs and it sure has. Makes my Apple CarPlay WIRELESS. Isn't that the point anyway? Nobody wants to mess around with cables anymore although if I want to charge my phone I need to combine it with something else (cable or a wireless charger).
It's Lightweight, and has plug in options for both USB connector types. Connects flawlessly. I like that it remembers the connection so I don't have to fiddle around with anything every time I get into the car.

I bought my car thinking the CarPlay was wireless, and it was not. That was already annoying to me but I thought “whatever, I’ll just plug it in”. But, my phone is to the point where if the cord isn’t in the right position, it doesn’t work. So trying to use CarPlay with a cord means it constantly going in and out and I wanted another option.
This is the cheaper of the adapter options but after reviews I went for it.
Overall, I’m happy.
It works well. It connects relatively quickly and yes, there is a slight delay. When I’m playing music, I don’t care if it takes 3 extra seconds. It was easy to set up. All the apps work, and I can talk through Siri.
Biggest issues I’ve noticed are an occasional error where I have to restart my car for it to register (not often) and that when I am using GPS, sometimes the voiceover crackles. That could be my car specifically, as I feel the USB ports are not 100%.
Definitely not regretting my purchase, though. Happy with it!

I absolutely love this product! Being able to connect my Apple car play wirelessly is a game changer. I work 3rd party delivery jobs like door dash or Uber eats. If I want my Apple car play connected it has to be with a cord the hard part about this is I have to unplug and replug every single time I get in and out of the car. As you can imagine that is a lot when you are delivering.
With the wireless adapter I can seamlessly connect the second I get in the car it recognizes me and I don’t have to deal with cords. I can use my maps or Apple Music with no worries or stress. Even if I walk to far form the car for the Bluetooth connection the second I’m back in the car it connects back up. I couldn’t be more satisfied with this product! If you’re looking for wireless Apple CarPlay but don’t want to pay a lot for other features then this one is for you. Setup is super easy and fast, once your iPhone is connected to the device there’s no need to reset up. Just turn your car on wait 10 seconds and you’ll be up and running on the Apple CarPlay dash. The device is nice and compact, and doesn’t take up too much space. Definitely keeping this for my long drive commutes.

Love how it’s plug and play, charges, and plays consistently when I hop in the car. It takes a minute or two to get up and going and as long as you don’t try to hurry it up it works great! Sound quality is better than my wired iPhone (not sure how that’s possible but it is!). I also live in a total WiFi dead zone and it doesn’t affect this dongle. Love! Oh, and it’s tiny!!

This little box made my wired CarPlay into wireless. I have tried a couple others as well and this one stacks up nicely for the price. Auto connects when you get into the car after initial setup. As with all wireless CarPlay’s there is an audio delay between a video and what you hear. It’s also very solid looking and feeling compared to the others.

…Just note that you cannot use the WiFi in your car while using this device. It uses Bluetooth AND WiFi for the Apple CarPlay. I also haven’t been able to adjust the volume; however, I just received it and plan to play with the settings today to see if I overlooked something. It is wireless Apple CarPlay, tho.
